From Source to Severn

Tuesday, January 30th, 2018
As part of our topic the Hawks wanted to visit a river for their trip this term. We decided to follow our school stream the source to the Severn. From looking at a map we realised the stream that passes through the school grounds is a tributary for the Severn. After locating the source, we followed the stream and river all the way to Upper Framilode where it meets the Severn. On our journey we saw meanders, lakes and confluences. Everyone was amazed to see the size of the Severn compared to the stream. It was an amazing trip!

Active Assembly

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018

We were very lucky to welcome Jon Moran and Harry Pickering to our assembly today. Thanks to the organising skills of our FGR Ambassadors, the two players gave up their time to visit our school. They awarded some sporting certificates, answered questions and even took part in our active assembly!

The blue team drew their first game, lost their next couple however they persevered and won their final game. They were all very pleased! The red team won every game they played, including their final! Super teamwork meant they scored lots of goals and enjoyed their success.
